Bernville Heritage & Cultural Society members are pleased to announce the completion of our newest project: the installation of the borough’s logo with the words, “Welcome to Umbenhauer Park,” on the front of the bandshell. Thanks go to member Jeff Gernsheimer for conceptualizing and coordinating this project. We also would like to thank Borough Council members for their cooperation.
The borough’s colorful logo was designed by the late Jack Gernsheimer, Jeff’s brother, and depicts three historic buildings in Bernville representing faith, family, and education fundamentals embraced by the founding family (Umbenhauer) and borough residents throughout the years.
