Members of the Rajah Shrine Tin Lizzies drive through the Bernville Memorial Day Parade in Bernville, PA, in small model T cars on May 30, 2016. 5/30/2016 Bernville Memorial Day Parade Reading Eagle: Sarah Stier

We feel that a Memorial Day Parades is now more important than ever, and that we take extra effort to ensure that this tradition isn’t lost in Bernville.

Your organization is invited to participate in the annual Bernville Memorial Day Parade, to be held on Monday, May 29, 2023.  The parade begins at the Penn-Bernville Elementary and ends with a Memorial Service at Umbenhauer Park.

The parade honors all those who served our country and those currently serving.  We want to make this event a celebration of our patriotic values and principles.  Please help us to make this happen by participating in the parade, helping organize the event, making a financial contribution, and by passing on this information to a group or organization you may know that would be interested in participating.  In keeping with the tradition, in Bernville, of honoring the men and women who died while serving our great country, we are asking for your help in preserving the legacy of this event by helping us grow. We are looking to once again bring back the tractors and horses (and add new ideas as well).

If you would like to participate, please let us know your organization’s plans on or before May 20, 2023.  Participants are asked to arrive at the Penn-Bernville Elementary School by 1:00 p.m.

Additionally, the Memorial Day Parade is funded by the community, donation checks can be made payable to Bernville Borough and mailed to PO BOX 40; Bernville PA 19506 with PARADE noted in the memo.
