Now hiring Borough Maintenance Employees

MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEE:  BOROUGH OF BERNVILLE; BERKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

Now hiring Borough Maintenance Employees  $13.25/hr

Applications are being accepted for the position of Maintenance Employee with the Borough of Bernville. Shall perform the following assignments and assume the following responsibilities:

Umbenhauer Park

  • Removing twigs, brush and leaves in spring
  • Cleaning of kitchen before and after rentals
  • Cleaning of bathrooms before and after rentals
  • Keeping bathrooms supplied with paper towels and toilet tissues
  • Mowing grass and spraying weeds
  • Cleaning picnic tables and painting and repair thereof as necessary
  • Emptying of trash containers
  • Removing leaves in fall

Stanton Clay Park

  • Removing twigs, brush and leaves in spring
  • Mowing grass and spraying weeds
  • Cleaning gazebo and staining when necessary
  • Emptying trash containers
  • Removing leaves in fall

 

Streets and Highways

  • Painting yellow parking lines on Main Street
  • Painting yellow lines at “no parking” areas
  • Painting fire plugs
  • Spraying weeds along curb line
  • Cleaning leaves from catch basin

Equipment

  • Making minor repairs to Borough equipment
  • Winterizing Borough equipment and storage at end of summer season

PATROL OFFICER:  BOROUGH OF BERNVILLE; BERKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

Applications are being accepted for the position of Patrol Officer with the Borough of Bernville. Applications must be secured on the Borough’s website at bernvilleborough.org or in person from Borough Hall. Completed applications must be returned in person by the applicant to the Borough Hall if the Borough Hall is permitted to be open or by certified mail to Bernville Borough Hall; Brenda Strunk; 6602 Bernville Rd; PO Box 40; Bernville, PA 19506.  Every applicant must be a United States citizen and must have reached their 21st birthday by the date submitting a completed application. All applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent and possess a current, valid Pennsylvania driver’s license. Additionally, all applicants must have Act 120 Police Officer Certification or be currently enrolled in the Act 120 training and have successfully completed the training prior to a conditional hire being offered.
